This outfit was put together in less than ten minutes as I was rushing out of my house. It's gotten a bit cool in NYC, so it's finally jacket weather. I've been anticipating the moment I could wear my favorite jacket out again that my boyfriend bought me from Zara. I love the fact that it's a reversible jacket (I'll eventually wear it the other way) and it's actually warm. I paired my lovely jacket with a black GAP tee (not seen) and my favorite BOY LONDON leggings that my boyfriend also bought me from Japan. I paired them with my Doc Martens, which are probably one of the best shoes to invest in since they last FOREVER, are super comfortable once they're broken in, pretty stylist and easy to throw on, and let's not forget waterproof. I also threw on my ALDO beanie, ALDO rings, and my Jansport bookbag that I've owned since high school. I was obviously super comfy.
Ever since Kanye's Runaway performance, I wanted a pair of all red sneakers. It was never a priority, but as soon as I saw these Reebok's, I didn't hesitate to get them. It has honestly been a challenge to style them, but I finally found an instance where I had to bring them out. I paired my sneakers with a Forever 21 jumpsuit (it should still be in stores now), a denim shirt, H&M necklace, Kendall & Kylie for Pacsun sunglasses, and ALDO Donetsk bag. I'm a big fan of rolling up my pants and sleeves in the fall. It gives a very casual look to outfits. Oh, and thanks to my buddy Jaeda Stoute, I'll have awesome and better quality photos up!
Sorry for the lack of posts this week. I've been adjusting to going back to school, working, and having a life. My boyfriend and I drove past a carnival last night and decided to go inside. It was pretty fun and the view from the ferris wheel was gorgeous. I love NYC at night. I took some photos of us and my ootd while we were there. So let's get to the outfit breakdown. I've been searching for the perfect pair of camo pants for ages. I
finally came across this beauty in Beacon's Closet for only $11! That's
why I love thrifting so much. As promised, I styled my DIY shirt. I also made the clutch I'm holding. It's my imitation of the American Apparel pouch. It's pretty simple to make so I'll most likely do a DIY post for it later on. My shoes are the ALDO Numata. They're nearly perfect imitations of the Isabel Marant Bekett sneaker wedge. I'm not a fan of knock offs, but since I work at ALDO... My belt is my little brother's GAP belt. I always steal their stuff by the way. Lastly, my necklace is (of course) ALDO.
On the ferris wheel with my lovely boyfriend
Thank you so much for keeping up! I appreciate all the support.
Latest obsession: Clutches
I think clutches are an easy way to spice up an outfit. I usually over stuff my big bags, so clutches automatically give me the mindset of bringing necessities. The best part is that they're easy to
make, so you really don't have to spend money on them. These are some of the styles I've been drooling over.
I found this cute tent dress while thrifting for only NINE DOLLAZ!
So of course I bought it at that price. Unfortunately, the dress has
been in my closet for months untouched. I just didn't like the way the tent shape of the dress looked on my silhouette. I have big thighs
and not too much in the bust area, so it was pretty unflattering. Last
night I don't really know what came over me, but I decided to take the
dress out of it's slumber and give it it's moment to shine. I paired it
with a vintage, olive green python waist belt (another great find at the thrift store), my white NIKE sneaker wedges, Necklace from
H&M, vintage clip-on earrings, and rings from Aldo mostly. I definitely got good feedback from
those who saw me, so I'll definitely bring this dress out again.
