Thursday is Wednesday

Happy Halloween everybody! Normally I don't go overboard and dress up on Halloween, but I made a slight exception for the year. I allowed my boyfriend to style me for this blog post and my next one as well since he has his own awesome creative side. I've fallen in love with the platform trend and got myself a fly pair of YRU platforms. My boyfriend decided to pair them with a target skirt and a metallic shirt from a small boutique in Soho who's name I don't remember. I wore it out all day and decided to add the two braids to give off more of a Wednesday (from The Addams Family) look. I hope everyone stays safe, enjoys their holiday, and brushes their teeth twice as much.

Lazy Boots

Sometimes I feel really lazy and pick out a basic outfit for the day. Today was one of those days (besides the hair). It's been chilly lately, so I threw on a leather jacket from H&M and a Nike sweater over my outfit. I love this Guess button up and H&M fuzzy sweater. I am definitely re-wearing the duo, but in a much more appealing way. I'm wearing American Eagle jeans- these are the best when these's nothing appealing in my closet- which I paired with my OTBT black boots. Black boots are a lazy way of being chic so when in doubt, where black boots. My bracelets are ALDO (what's new), watch is Guess, and earrings are vintage. As for my hair, I decided to do something different to it since I woke up with a bad hair day and my outfit was bland. I actually love my two buns, so you'll definitely see them again.

Pitbull

I've gotten to the point where all I do is take my boyfriend's clothes and style them up for myself. This time, I stole his River Island dog shirt and beanie. I paired it with an American Apparel Corduroy circle skirt for a girly touch. I also threw on knee highs from ALDO (still available) and my Doc Martens to give it a rougher look. I later changed into sneaker wedges for work. All accessories are ALDO.

Black and Green

The best kind of weather is when you can wear a skirt and throw a sweater or jacket over and feel perfectly fine. I feel extra sexy whenever I wear black leather, so this skirt gave me a huge confidence boost. I didn't want it to look too sexy- since I was still in school- so I paired it with a loose Zara top (no longer available) from my boyfriend's closet. I decided to keep the sexy look from the legs down, so I wore  ALDO booties I'm obsessed with. I threw on my favorite H&M jacket (no longer available, last years) and, of course, an ALDO bag (last season). I calmed down on the accessories for the week since I'm allergic to fake jewelry and I can't continuously do so without breaking out. I'm wearing Sephora by OPI "I Come in Peas" nail polish. As you can tell, I don't have a large variety of hair styles since I'm lazy and I never learned different hairstyles.

Muted

Pale palettes are a favorite of mine since I'm extremely white and it makes me look a bit tanner. It was a bit chilly on campus, so I threw on a super warm, knitted sweater I got from a boutique store in brooklyn. I paired it with Tommy Hilfiger jeans, a white cropped tee, a necklace from H&M, and my essential Steve Madden nude pumps. Every single woman should have a pair of nude pumps in their closet. You can pair them up in so many ways, with any color. The nail polish is Sephora by OPI "I Come in Peas." I'm truly obsessed with this color on my nails. I'm actually thinking about painting my room this color, but that's a post I'll save for later.

Sailormoon

There was a nice break form the cold in NYC, so I took advantage and threw on a skirt. I used this H&M skirt for my birthday last year and I'm in love with the color and the fit of it. I paired it with a floral button up from H&M's conscious collection, ALDO knee highs (still available), and Jeffrey Campbell heels. The earrings are clip ons given to me by my grandmother, who told me they were her mother's. The necklace is H&M.

Textures

This has to be one of my favorite outfits so far. I love mixing patterns, textures, and colors, and I really like the way this came together. I paired my vintage floral pants with a sweater that I bought in Canada for a dollar and my cousins thought I was crazy for doing so. It was a size XXL but I tailored it to fit me. I still wanted it to fit a bit oversized, though. I also wore it with a crop top from Tobi and nude BCBG pumps to fit in with the color scheme. All accessories are ALDO.

Olive and Nudes

I don't know how much to stress that I love going thrifting. I found the dress I'm wearing at a thrift shop and- naturally- bought it with my cheap ass, shopaholic self. Crochet dresses are beautifully detailed, timeless, and effortless all on their own. I fell in love with this one here as well. I wanted to keep the look polished and simple so I just wore it with my nude BCBG flats and since it was a bit chilly outside, an olive Nastygal jacket for some color.
