Tan Lines

Came down to Florida for a week to visit my momma! I just wanted to post up my bathing suit and show off a bit of my body progress. I've been biking everyday and doing sit ups. I've also been extra picky with what I consume lately. I'm just trying to live a healthier lifestyle in general. I'll post up photos of my adventures down here once I'm back in New York.

Errands

Everyone has days where they just want to roll out of bed in the morning and throw on the first thing they see. I usually resort to a shirt dress or a long tee during times of distress now that its warm enough to look acceptable on the street. I had to run around and do errands all day before I head out to Florida tomorrow morning. I can't wait to tan out there!

THURSDVY x WOOPTY

All of my friends are golden. Each and every one of my close friends are visionaries. I guess that's what happens when you come from a high school that preps you for the fashion industry. This set is completely different from any before because it was photographed by Laura (flickr // photoblog). She's known for her awesome edits and finding a way to make every photo she takes as mystical and beautiful as her personality.

I've been finding myself in a mix of feminine meets masculine. My pants have gotten baggier, and my shirts have gotten looser. But, I can't stop wearing heels now. I'm required to work eight hour standing shifts at work in heels. It's taking its toll on my feet because now all I find comfortable are high arched shoes, which in my case means heels. Don't get me wrong though, I always carry a pair of sneakers in my bag at all times in case my feet feel like they're bleeding out.

Let's give a moment of appreciation to the fact that I'm not wearing a bra. I absolutely hate bras. I try to avoid them as much as possible; even though I have cases like these where my nips are visible. I truthfully rather have a nip imprint than to wear a bra and you'll slowly start to see that throughout the summer.

Wearing Tobi top, H&M cargos folded and pulled all the way up, Guess heels, and Guess sunglasses.

Comeback

It's finally spring! It's the season where 60 degrees feels like it's 90. It's the season where people get so excited about the weather, they throw on shorts the first day it's warm. I'm one of those people. It's also the season where the infamous Uggs and shorts combo came to be. But best of all, it's the season where the sweats and waterproof boots are finally retired. NO MORE SNOW! I might just have to move to Florida during the winter so I don't have to deal with the snow anymore. But, for now I'm stuck in the city.

One of my favorite things about going to Soho is the amount of effort people put in to look fly. That's the place where the concrete floor turns into a runway. The guys throw on their flyest kicks and girls show off their best ensemble. I threw on this outfit to go to eat with my girl Alya in Soho. She just put me on to the Chipotle guacamole and chips. The greatest $3 ever spent.

I'm wearing Marciano shirt dress, Plomo heels, Tori Burch sunnies (also love these), and Marc by Marc Jacobs Spring 2012 bag (my next duffle bag purchase).
Alya is wearing Y-3 shirt and sweater,  Isabel Marant sneaker wedges, and Celine sunnies.

Springing into the 90's

Lately my source of inspiration has been old photos of family members in the 90's rocking high waisted denim and jumpsuits. It hit me to look into old editorials from the late 80's/early 90's. I've gotten to love oversized button downs, white tees and jeans, backpacks (as always), bombers, and loose fitted trousers. I've also been gravitating towards eye catching prints and textured fabric. Let's not forget to mention playing with masculinity and femininity. It's on trend to show some skin and some sex appeal in not only women's clothing, but in mens attire as well.

I'm happy to announce that I will return to posting regularly. There was a minor setback in my life and I wasn't able to make my blog a priority at the moment. My apartment unfortunately burned down, which prevented me from doing much for myself. Thankfully, not only is everyone okay, but we're finally finding stability after a couple of months in limbo. I'm proud of my family for overcoming this and it's giving us a chance to start fresh. It's a great feeling to know that I'll finally have the ability to do what I love again.

Also, follow my virtual mood board here.

Thanks for sticking around!
