Twenty One going on Beast Mode

Strength- the ability to withstand great force or pressure.
With the New Year coming in and celebrating my twenty-first birthday, I've had many epiphanies with the idea of self. What am I trying to accomplish? Who am I doing it for? Where is it taking me? There's just been a lot on my mind as of late. To keep myself sane, I've had to keep reminding myself of what makes me happy. My happiness stems from my growth, whether it's personal, physical, mental, or professional. I try to maintain a steady pace of self growth. There's what I enjoy to do, but there's also who I am as I person and the standards that I hold myself to, and whether or not I have met them. Don't get me wrong, I have a good sense of how tall to stand, but I always like to keep my eye on the ball and aim for higher hoops and bigger courts. With all that in mind, I've tried to narrow down what I would like to bring in for myself for the New Year, strength. I want the strength to make tough decisions and push forward through them. The strength to become a better version of myself, changing my bad qualities into better ones. The strength to stay motivated and persistent. The strength to fight for my dream and not allow myself to stray away from anything I'd like to accomplish. I want to use this year for the formation of self and I hope it translates into my work.
These photos were taken on my birthday, because what better way to spend it than doing something I love? Cherry (Photoblog/Instagram) shot this on film.

Denim and Wife Beaters

I'm traveling the west coast in a couple of weeks and I'm really excited for that! I love New York, but I can't wait to feel the sun tanning my skin. The month of June, so far, has proved to be the weather relative of April; lots of rain and a need for a jacket. But I can't complain about layer weather.
Lately I'm gravitating toward a more simple and comfortable look. I don't find myself in love with anything I see as much as I normally have. The last time I went shopping, I copped myself a pack of wife beaters and felt satisfied with that.

2 Blue 4 You

Hide your oversized clothing, or I will find it. This is the everyday, just-left-the-crib-in-a-very-comfy, but-cool-manner outfit. It was worn on a perfect occasion too, because I bumped into some free wine and beer events in Soho.

Wearing throwback Uniqlo windbreaker, vintage Nike tee, Oak trousers, Adidas Springblade sneakers, and Ray-Ban sunnies.

Off the Rails Magazine

I shot for Off the Rails a couple of weeks ago. These were looks I put together myself. I wanted to post up a few of my favorite photos taken by Dimetri Hogan

Purple Set

For the love of chill music, for the 2 am bus rides to your dick appointment, for the mornings when you're walking through a dewy field, for the nights you're stuck with a paper due tomorrow afternoon, for the blunt cruises on the west side highway, for you and your feels and for me and mine.

The warmer weather always inspires me. I like to keep playlists that'll alter my mindset and let me vibe out. Here's a playlist I put together. Hope you enjoy it!

She sits in her robe, with her hair in a bun, drinking her morning coffee on her dining table. Kehlani's You Should Be Here plays from her laptop. She's contemplating her next step. Making plans for the summer, for her career, for her self betterment... A normal day for her. And all she ever asked for is to be desired and loved. To create. To inspire. For once, she feels as if her desires can only be accomplished within herself. It's the best feeling in the world. No one can place a limit but herself.

With sportswear at it's peak in everyday fashion, I find myself pairing sports items with skirts, jeans, heels, etc. It's fun to play around with the silhouettes and colors. My NikeLab x Sacai windbreaker is one of my favorite pieces in my closet at the moment. I love the movement created, the color combo, the fit. It's honestly such a great piece. Sacai is one of my favorite brands as well; they're known to bring an edge to feminine wear.

Distressed Denim

It's finally starting to feel like spring. It's pretty exciting to be able to throw on a leather and no longer have to worry about layering up. New York is always so much better once the climate works with us. I've been looking for a pair of nicely distressed denim, and unfortunately I couldn't find any whenever I sought out for them. So I cut up a pair of old Express jeans and distressed them myself. Best decision I ever made.

Wearing Marciano leather jacket, Forever 21 shirt dress, Express denim that I distressed myself, All Saints heels, and Dior sunnies.

I spoke earlier in January about transitioning from photos to film. It's something I've been working on and I'm excited to release this little piece of myself. It's extremely personal, but I feel like all of my viewers know very little of me. This was filmed in January in 9 degree weather. It took us a while to agree on what I was comfortable releasing. I pushed myself a little more than I normally would and agreed on allowing some more personal bits. I really hope you guys enjoy it. I look forward to releasing a few more short films throughout the year.

A huge shout out to my multiple underwear appearances. They deserve their own credit.

Addiction is a state characterized by compulsive engagement in rewarding stimuli, despite adverse consequences.

Do we ever really think about the consequences? All of those times where you couldn't have, but you did anyway. All those times where you thought things would go one way, and they go another. All those times you thought you satisfied yourself and only lead yourself into a deeper hole. Do we even care? Do we just deal with what comes? We are a product of our choices. Every single thing we do not only leads us further in life, but molds us into the people we are.

They found the secret to the universe in the warmth of each other. They were made for one another. They were all they needed in this world of sin. She lost herself in him. All he wanted was to keep her close. He needed her just as much as she needed him. The thing about addictive people is it's never enough. It's a lifestyle. It's the comfort in what they have. It's the desire. It's the uncontrollable need to feel that feeling at all times. So when Jill lost her mind and tried to disappear, Jack sought out to find her day and night. But when he found her, Jill had already forgotten.
