Addiction is a state characterized by compulsive engagement in rewarding stimuli, despite adverse consequences.

Do we ever really think about the consequences? All of those times where you couldn't have, but you did anyway. All those times where you thought things would go one way, and they go another. All those times you thought you satisfied yourself and only lead yourself into a deeper hole. Do we even care? Do we just deal with what comes? We are a product of our choices. Every single thing we do not only leads us further in life, but molds us into the people we are.

They found the secret to the universe in the warmth of each other. They were made for one another. They were all they needed in this world of sin. She lost herself in him. All he wanted was to keep her close. He needed her just as much as she needed him. The thing about addictive people is it's never enough. It's a lifestyle. It's the comfort in what they have. It's the desire. It's the uncontrollable need to feel that feeling at all times. So when Jill lost her mind and tried to disappear, Jack sought out to find her day and night. But when he found her, Jill had already forgotten.

Her Favorite Flowers

There is beauty in pain. So you couldn't help but wrap yourself in the constant back and forth of his presence. You don't doubt his love, but you also don't doubt his hate. Every time he leaves, you tell yourself it's the very last time. You never comply. Because every time he shows up again he has your favorite flowers. The last time he left, you found a new light in the fallen pedals of your tulips. So when he showed up at your door again, you took the flowers, but you left him outside.

To change or develop slowly often into a better, more complex, or more advanced state.

I constantly have to remind myself that a part of being human is learning and growing. I am thankfully a lot better than I once was, and I only hope to continue to grow positively from here on out. It takes a lot to push yourself into a better path, especially since you ultimately never know where one decision will lead. The only thing I can hope is that my intentions and growth will only  make me even better tomorrow than I was today.

My style has grown a lot in the past year alone. I've found myself more assertive with what I like and less afraid of how to execute it. I've accepted the idea that certain things will come in its time. There's inspiration everywhere and one day you might get slapped across the face with the greatest idea of your life. Just as the world evolves, I will too.

I couldn't be happier that it's slowly starting to feel a lot more like spring here in New York. I'm completely ready for the change of weather. Wearing: Dior sunnies, Oak crop top, Marciano wide leg trousers, H&M leather (in search of a new one), Marc Jacobs bag, and Vic Matie pumps.

Baby Blue

Nirvana defined by Google: a transcendent state in which there is neither suffering, desire, nor sense of self, and the subject is released from the effects of karma and the cycle of death and rebirth. It represents the final goal of Buddhism.

Today I met the most wonderful woman. She had a tribal design tattooed on her face and I felt immediately drawn to it. I asked her if she ever regretted it, and she quickly responded "hell no." She went on to tell me that she didn't work or live for anybody. Now I'm going to rephrase her life lessons a bit, but here what I took from her entire conversation. There is no reason to fear anything. The only limits in your life are the ones you set yourself, out of that very same fear. If you can conquer the idea that maybe it won't work out, you'll try harder to make sure it will. And if you do fail, you can live in peace knowing you tried instead of settling. Once you settle, you have reached defeat. She also brought in the idea of destiny. When you desire to do something, don't question it. Don't allow anyone to tell you, "maybe you shouldn't do that." You should be self aware. Only you, yourself, can judge upon your intuition and your destiny. It made me really question the idea of destiny. Some people think things are predestined, while others think we have the ability to change and shape our destiny's.

On that note, I hope you all find your state of Nirvana. Peace and love.
